Trunk or Treat

Last night we went to the Trunk or Treat at the church. Addie looked precious as an evil fairie. She won the costume contest for the infants. I was a proud mama! I made her tutu and her wings and i was excited that they turned out so well. For the church party Ryan and I just went as pirates. However tonight we are going to the law school party and i am going as Amy Winehouse and Ryan is going as Bret Michaels from Poison. It should be fun and i will have lots of pictures!

NC state fair

Tonight we went to the North Carolina state fair in Raliegh. Now i have been to a few state fairs but i have never seen one as big and intense as this was. They had everything you ever wanted and a few thing you might not. Ryan was so happy to get funnel cake, a deep fried snickers bar and and a cheesesteak, yuck! and addie had a corn dog (she loves corndogs!) The only thing i wish i would have tried was the deep fried pickle but i just couldn't bring myself to it. We took addie on a few rides and ryan won her a cute stuffed fish throwing a dart at a balloon.

addie at the park!

I finally remembered to bring my camera to the park tonight. Little miss independent likes to go down all the slides without any help, then she jumps off the slide climbs the stairs and does it again! She is such a cute and fun kid. She can now raise the roof if you ask her to and if she thinks something is fun she raises her arms in the air and says "woo", but totally non chalant. She is talking a lot and we are starting to understand small phrases "look at this" "baba where are you" "bye dada" and so on. Here's the pics from the park

sa sa sa salon.

i have been meaning to post the pictures of my little salon in my apartment... IT IS NOT QUITE DECORATED YET so bear with me. I am going to be laying down the wood floor soon.

i am taking Nicole's idea and running with it. I am going to create a vegan blog. I have so many fun recipies. Killer vegan cheescake, chocolate pie, tofu scrambler etc. and Ryan made an incredible mango mousse last night.

I have been eating a vegan diet for a little over two months now. It has been working realy well for me. I don't mind it and i am def slimming down and shedding some of that akward baby bulk (like the lady "hump") I am really enjoying it. It's a lot more fun because i am not just living on peppered tofurkey sandwiches this time, ryan is an amazing cook and comes up with some incredible meals. I made some amazing vegan chocolate chip cookies last night and ryan made a really delicious vegan chili and a pizza with the best vegan mozzeralla ever! Don't worry (Grandma Sonia), addie is still getting plenty of nutrious food b/c ryan and Addie don't follow my vegan diet.
