Christmas two thousand seven

This Christmas was spent with my in-laws. We drove down to Plain City on Christmas eve. Unfortunately Kelly and Sarah Spiers were not able to come down after some complications at work. So we were three short! Although we missed them we did have fun. We played a great game of the white elephant gift. Addison got some awesome gifts and she loved them all! ON Christmas morning we opened gifts at Steve and Cindee's and then headed off to do the rounds. First we visited the Hendry's and got to see the whole gang. Then we headed back to Steve and Cindee's to let Addison take a nap before we headed to the Spiers. It was a great Christmas and Addison was spoiled rotten and it was so much fun!

On the 28Th we flew out to California to spend new years with my family. It was such a blast. I loved having everyone around. We spent new years eve doing karaoke at full volume! We spent a lot of time in the spa and relaxing. On new years day the girls took of to San Diego for our GIRLS ONLY trip. We stayed at a beautiful hotel called the Estancia La Jolla. We went to BJ's for dinner and got the greatest dessert ever. We headed back to the hotel and hot cocoa from the bar and sat by the fireplace. We went back to our room and stayed up all night laughing harder than i had i years. The next morning we went to breakfast at a cute restaurant that over looked the ocean and then went shopping and found some adorable hats for my mom now that she is GI Jane! We went back to hotel and got our spa treatments and sat around sipping tea and talking. It was the most wonderful bonding experience. I can't wait to do it again next year!

Addisons first christmas present!

Merry Christmas Eve!

Today we received a package in the mail from my best friend Erinn Koch! She sent Addie a x-mas present and so i decided to let Addie open it. She thought it was pretty great but got distracted several times. She got her the cutest Osh Kosh b'gosh overalls with the hippest shirt ever and a personalized "Addison's first Christmas 2007" ornament. I am so lucky to have such
amazing people in my life. I love Erinn and its hard to believe that we have known each other for eleven years!












I have also included an awesome picture of Addison after church yesterday. We got home and took off everything but her tights and black bow. She pulled her bow down around her neck and Ryan and i thought she kinda looked like a Chippendales dancer!

We decided to throw caution to the wind and start Addison on sweet potatoes. IT WAS A HIT! She loved it and kept licking her lips wanting more. Hooray! Now maybe we can cut back on the the formula intake... she was drinking more than 32 ounces of formula a day. It was crazy. She would pound the wimpy little 6 ounce bottles i would make her.
What a chunk. But a very cute chunk. This is a picture of addie in a game of peek a boo with dad. She is the cutest little girl on earth!

GET YOUR HUR DID!

On saturday morgan and i drove back to california. We had a lot of fun while we were there. Kelly and Tim brought the boys down for Sunday dinner, and i gave my mom a really cute haircut (she's a total babe!) and then yesterday flying back (which was another hellish experience b/c of southwest). We had a lot of fun and i am dying to go back in the 28th!

10. Balance. We balance one another.
9. She makes cute babies.
8. She cares so much about family that it spills over and makes me love my family, and her family more than I ever could without her.
7. When she laughs, I mean really laughs with snorts and squeaks, it is impossible to be upset, it is only possible to fall more in love with her.
6. Speaking of laughing, I tell a lot of really dumb jokes... some good ones, but mostly just bad ones, she laughs at all of them even when she doesn't want to, even when she is in the process of saying that she is not going to laugh at it, she will laugh and smile. She is so beautiful.
5. She looks like the best, smells like the best, and sounds like the best, therefore she must be the best... or a duck.
4. Did I mention the laughing at dumb jokes? Yeah, she may have even laughed at that one... I just love her, a lot.
3. Have you seen our daughter? That Addison is still alive is because of Megan. There is no way I could do what she does. So, she's the best wife in the world because she is such an incredible mom, while still being such an amazing wife.
2. She is my support. When I fall she's there. When I'm doing well, she keeps me going.

I can tell her anything, and she understands. She is my best friend. She means the world to me. She makes me better. She's far too incredible for a list of 10 things to ever do her justice.

It's her Birthday, but we're not celebrating, so this is not a birthday present.... it's just a reminder of how amazing she is.

Tomorrow is my 25th birthday. It feels a little less than exciting. I usually love birthdays and i like to declare the entire week my birthday and milk it for all its worth. This year is slightly less than exciting. I think it just feels like one more thing rather than a party. However my in-laws are the greatest and always take me out to dinner for my birthday and we are going out tomorrow to The Cheesecake Factory! Ryan and I have decided to not celebrate my birthday but to defer it to Valentines day (like we did last year). And besides I have this little girl to make everyday feel like a celebration...

How did i get so lucky?

Yesterday we went to take our christmas picture. Steve and Cindee found us a killer location, the Ogden River Walk. It was hard to get a picture where all three of us looked good at the same time. But Addison looked absolutley PERFECT in her dress and little maryjanes. We seriously may have the cutest baby on earth and one seriously handsome husband!
