durham update #2

church was interesting. There are some really nice people, i think most everyone seems pretty friendly. They are doing a spotlight about us in the ward newsletter. haha I hope that makes people want to hang out with us and not vice versa.

It was humid today like painfully soaking wet humid. We are talking sweating in places i didn't even realized could sweat. We were going to BBQ today but by the time we got home from church it was pouring down rain. (it was 95 when we left for church! ) and it looks like a lightening storm is on its way!

Addie has been trying to stand on her own. She is also eating just about everything in sight. She has also gotten a lot better at drinking out of her juice box. She has totally mastered the straw thing and we are moving onto big kid cups, since she wont take a sippy.

i feel like i am finally a real true blue mother. this morning Ryan was playing with Addie in bed and then turned around to wake me up and she crawled up over me and just as she was bending down she puked all over my face. Lucky for me, i sleep with my mouth closed! It was gross but not as gross had it been someone other than my own flesh and blood. However i wanted to die and it was hard to get the juicy juice smelling throw up out of my hair.

Oh and we went to wal mart last night... downtown ogden wal mart doesnt have anything on durham wal mart! ha.

I'm glad you guys made it there safely and are settling in! I'm excited to see all of your pictures of your new place. I'm so bored here in the student apartments... I bet you don't miss them at all. Keep posting so we can stay in touch!

Oh way to go Addie, just kidding Meg. I've been puked on a time or two myself, but never in the face.

Milly once puked ALL OVER me In Wal-Mart!! It was awful! I was covered in vomit, and at the check out line. So I had to walk to the back of the store, go buy a new shirt, and go in the bathroom and give us sponge baths to clean up. I made the mistake of rinsing out my padded bra, so by the time I got back up to the check out, it looked like I was lactating for quadruplets!!!

There is NOTHING like an East Coast Walmart to really have an experience. Mine usually involved almost getting hit in the parking lot to mother's beating thier children in the aisles and the foul mouthed everyone. I LOVED going in Richmond. I am glad you guys made it and obviously found a place to live. Good luck. I am just so happy for you. Another big Walmart tip-food stamps are renewed at the first of the month-so DON'T go shopping the first few days-that is SCARY!
