Easter Egg Hunt!

I invited a bunch of our good friends over for an easter egg hunt at the park inside our apartment complex here in Durham. It was such a blast! We had a great turn out and tons of eggs! The kids looked adorable and had so much fun picking up all the eggs. We love having such great friends to share holidays with!!!

Last night i made cupcakes. Some of you may know i have a small obsession with Cupcakes. I always forget to take pictures of them. To me, decorating cupcakes is like the ultimate art project. Ryan took some great pictures of the ones i made for our easter egg hunt today!

We also dyed easter eggs with the silk ties. Alyssa posted the direction and pictures on her blog and we did it! It was awesome besides the horrific smell. What smells worse than a thrift store.... thrift store ties boiled in vinegar!!!!!!!! But they are so great and easy and turned out fantastic! I'll post those pictures when we get home.... But i am getting yelled at because its time to get off my blog and go to the farmers market!

I'm sooo sad we weren't there for this!! We miss you guys, Hailey misses her buddies, she always says thank you for Addie every night during her prayers. See y'all in a few days! By the way, THANKS again for the ride to the airport!!

What cute pictures! Abby has really enjoyed the easter egg hunts this year, too. Addison's hair is getting so long... it's really cute.

I love cupcakes too. I'm making some tomorrow for our Easter party. Yours are adorable!

My mom is a cupcake freak too. She has posted some pictures of some pretty fancy dancy ones this winter. Linny loves them too. I more a cookie dough girl myself, but I can see the appeal in decorating them.

Aren't egg hunts with Littles the best? We had our hunt today and Rachel would take the eggs back out and drop them on the ground again so Milly could keep collecting.

What a fun time, and Addie is a little flirt. The cupcakes were awesome. You are so talented, can't wait to see your Easter Eggs. The DI in this area is really clean. Grandpa likes to go browse around every now and again. He just knows he will find a treasure some day.

Mmmmm, cupcakes...

We did a couple Easter egg hunts with Penelope. She was mostly interested in watching the other kids than picking up the eggs. After a few minutes she'd get into. Funny to watch though.
