An Addie & Ryan Update

An Addie update:

Addie can stand up on her own now; till she realizes she is standing then she sits right back down. She has also said her first word this week and I waited to her if she would repeat it before I called it her official first word but not only does she say “hi" but she waves too. She also can tell you what a dinosaur says if you ask... RAAAR! And if you ask her what a kitty cat says she will also respond with a roar but it’s much softer. Ryan is working with her on her moo-ing. She acts more and more like a toddler every day. She can eat just about anything I give her and am a pro at talking small bites and chewing. She loves asparagus and graham crackers and zucchini (just like mom). She also crawls into the pantry and points at the food when she is hungry and can hold her juice box and drinks out of any cup with a straw. She has been really into going into the pool and doesn’t even think twice about putting her face in the water. She is constantly covered in bruises due to her overly adventurous nature.

The Ryan update:

Ryan is really loving school and more than that he loves being in a program that has plenty of money to spend on its students. He feels like the JD/LLM is a perfect fit. He is anxious to join the j Ruben Clark law society this coming fall. We are also anxious to meet all the other LDS law students when they get back from their internships. However we have made friends with Daniel (the other LDS law student) and his mom and enjoyed dinner over at his house on Friday night. We are continually impressed with what incredible people Daniel and his mom are. Addison had a blast climbing all over his wheel chair at dinner. he even moved his chair forward while she pretended to push him from behind, she just kept looking around at us like "why isn’t anyone getting mad at me for this" his mom was down on all fours crawling around with her too. We were talking and it turns out that he knows who president Rushton is. And cooler than all this he was telling us all about paraplegic rugby, yes you read that right... rugby! We are dying to go see him play, he said it gets really intense and sometimes people fall out of their wheel chairs.

The days are scolding hot and the nights are also miserably hot and I hate the humidity but it is beautiful and green (like the meadow in Forks, Washington!)

Those are great updates! I was noticing your pictures on your little side bar and I am dying over that one of Addie sitting on the changing table. I need to see it big because that skirt looks just too cute. Also, the one of you guys on the back of the train kissing, another HIT! Who was your photographer? You seem to have an eye and appreciation for great pictures. I request that you do a blog post of your favorite pictures in the last 5 years. Just a suggestion, but a very serious one at that :)

My dear Addison,
Aunt Natalie, burned the Baby Einstein CD for G/grandma in seconds. So I will be sending it to you. Iam sure you and Mom will love all the cute little songs, I bet it isn't long until you both are singing along. Heck I even sing those songs. Love, love, love, you; no wonder your new friend Daniel's mom was crawling on the floor with you, miss personality plus!
