Timeline...

So, classes are over and finals start next week -- one on Monday and one on Friday. Then Saturday I finally get to see my girls again!

Talking to Sarah on the phone about her adventures with little Anika got me thinking about the last year. We've been busy! Finished up some school, drove across the country, started some more school... (a pattern, you say? school, long drive, more school, more driving, more school...)

Here's a peek at what's to come in the next year (I think we're trading in driving for flying):

School starts Aug. 18
School ends: Dec. 19
Starts again: Jan. 12
Break: March 9-13
Ends again: May 4

The first half of the summer will be an internship of some kind. The current plan is to get a position in Germany from mid-May until late-June (about 6 weeks) but if that doesn't work, we'll take one in Hong Kong or somewhere near there.

Then back to school again Aug. 24 for more classes and on campus interviews.

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY ADDISON!

Today was Addie's first birthday!

Happy Birthday my sweet little girl! I spoiled her rotten. I bought her two new cute outfits, she hung out with her cousins, and we took family pictures (with a Ryan body double, but thats another story for a another blog post) and i also took her out to eat and she had her own kids meal with french fries (b/c that's her favorite). Tomorrow i have a cake and balloons for her birthday party. I can hardly believe Ryan and I are parents to a one year old. Its hard to believe we have come so far. She is such a blessing and has completely changed our lives and i for one am a better person now that she is here. A top ten list couldn't even do her justice. She is a special kid and she will do BIG things. I love her more than anything and my vocabulary couldn't do my love for her any justice.

Addie took nine steps today! She will be running in no time. ha ha

She loves walking and she is getting super tricky. More pictures soon. As soon as i take enough to make it worth while to upload them all.

Tommorrow is snorkeling and some more fun in the pool.. so excited!

Maui

after a long day we finally arrived at the Grand Wailea in Maui.

After a 18 hours of travel, that included delays and missed flights and more missed flights because of delays we finally arrived and it is GORGEOUS. I promise to upload lots of pictures.
